Most of my wandering in the delta was along the fifty-mile river stretch running south from Sacramento. Isleton sits at the foot of this stretch on a bend of the river where, for a brief distance, it runs east-west. Many "tin houses" were located in Isleton, along with a variety of mostly-makeshift architectural styles.
