Isleton Most of my wandering in the delta was along the fifty-mile river stretch running south from Sacramento. Isleton sits at the foot of this stretch on a bend of the river where, for a brief distance, it runs east-west. Many "tin houses" were located in Isleton, along with a variety of mostly-makeshift architectural styles. |

Summertime in the delta generally brings 100-plus degree days. I favored fall and winter visits. This lovely sky came on a crisp October day in 1981. |
