Seven months later, on November 7th, Richard Nixon will win a second term by a landslide victory. In a televised address from the White House he will pledge to secure "a peace with honor in Vietnam."

His running mate, Spiro T. Agnew, got press attention last year when, at the Bob Hope Golf Classic, he hit three spectators with his first two shots.
