These young people seemed to me to be easy-going and friendly, although somewhat guarded around the old guy with the camera. They were great subjects because they pretty much ignored my presence.
Several of my Venice photos are flawed because of erratic sluggishness in my focal plane shutter which went undetected for a few weeks.

The digital conversion has allowed me to minimize some of the defects so that they are not too disturbing. This is just one of the things contributing to my pleasure in having emerged from the chemical darkroom into the digital light.
