According to the Orange Peel:
“The class of ’39 can well look back with pride on the record of its basketball team. The final analysis shows a record of 9 victories against 6 defeats in regular season…..one win and one defeat against state tournament opponents."
In the regular season, I calculate the average game score as: Orange HS 32 Opponent 26. High school basketball was a much different game then.
