The port lines Lake Washington at the head of the deep-water channel. It was not a busy place in 1977 when this shot was taken. In 2002 the port's ship calendar shows six vessels scheduled to discharge cargo in June and July, including three ships carrying lumber from New Zealand and two shiploads of fertilizer from Norway.
