Until a photo magazine published Orkin's thirty-six frame contact sheet showing it to be
the second of only two attempts. She and her friend were working on a photo
essay of the problems faced by a woman traveling alone. Somewhat nervous
in getting this shot, they walked hurriedly away uncertain of what they had.
They had one of the most famous pictures ever taken.
