DUSTER 5 of 14 |
Operating from makeshift air strips, they didn’t need much ground. The duster
airplane in most common use in the area I traveled was the Ag-Cat biplane,
developed by Grumman Aircraft. The Ag Cat was a single seat biplane, a stubby,
rugged, no-frills work horse, with a body skin of fabric and dope. I loved the
look of it. Pilots liked its biplane performance; it had a stall speed of 67 mph. |
