This show featured Charley Barnet and band along with Dorothy Lamour and Mischa Auer.
Charley Barnet, a great jazz saxophonist, jumped into the front rank of swing bands
with his 1939 record “Cherokee.” His band featured trumpet player Billy May, but I’m
not sure if he’s shown here.
