Benny Goodman |
Probably the most popular swing band was led by Benny Goodman. In 1938 they
appeared at Carnegie Hall. Their rendition of “Sing Sing Sing” featured Gene Krupa
in an extended drum solo which gained such attention that he left to form a band of
his own.
